During this documentary, we notice that events surrounding the band literally effect what the band’s output becomes, themselves becoming tax exiles, having to flee their English homeland to hang out in France for awhile…

…and while they were there, there was a basement just waiting for music to be born in…and so it went…

Hours upon hours of the band, jamming with whomever was awake at the time, and recording all of it…all together, in one room…no rehearsal, no program, just rock-n-roll…

(…In fact, Keith Richards said he loved the spontaneity while Mick usually likes to know what’s going on, making Jagger the rock to his roll…)

It was also stated that Jagger didn’t like when projects were done, because he was never comfortable with a finished product, saying that ‘that was yesterday…what about tomorrow?…’

But music wasn’t the only thing that kept these Stones rolling during that time, as you will see…

And when the album was finally released, it was initially ‘exiled’ by the critics, only to find itself, a few months later, heralded as a classic, and on everyone’s top ten list…

At least time, apparently, was on their side…
