It has been an honor and my privilege to run a campaign for the Republican candidacy of the U.S. House of Representatives, the People’s House. During that time, I enjoyed working alongside many people and had the pleasure of meeting numerous constituents of NJ’s 7th Congressional District, which encompasses parts of Hunterdon, Middlesex, Somerset and Union counties.
I owe a debt of gratitude to all who helped me capture 31% of the vote in the primary on June 8th. First, to my campaign team along with the many volunteers who put in countless hours making phone calls, putting up yard signs and other activities – you are truly remarkable. Thank you so much for your hard work, dedication and loyalty.
To the people who worked behind the scenes and to those who voted for me, thank you for your support, for believing in me and the conservative values and principles that forged this great nation. Looking to the future, let us remain active and vigilant, holding our elected representatives accountable for their votes and decisions on a local, state and federal level. Let us no longer accept governance by career politicians who simply propagate their own agenda and ignore the voice of the people they were elected to serve.
A word to every Congressional Representative: The people are putting you on notice – we are watching every type of vote you make. We are fed up with bloated, runaway government spending and over regulation. In the words of Ronald Reagan, “Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them.” This rings true of the current Administration in Washington and that must change. “We the People” will settle for nothing less. Remember, the voters put you in Washington and we can bring you home.
Let me end by encouraging readers to vote in the November election. You have a chance to stop the tide of socialist policies coming out of Washington. If you don’t let your voice be heard in the voting booth, then you can expect a further loss of prosperity and liberty. Join me in sending a message to Washington that we do not want the government controlling our lives through Obamacare and other sweeping policies. Let’s bring “change” to Washington one vote at a time, starting with your vote and mine. I’m David Larsen and I’d love to hear from you on my website: www.davidlarsenforcongress.com.
God bless you and may God continue to bless America.
Editor’s note: David Larsen ran against Rep. Leonard Lance in the June 8th Republican Primary for New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District seat.
