LINDEN – Two women reported being pulled over by a man who seemed to be impersonating a police officer last week, authorities said.

The two Linden women told police that the driver of a small black vehicle displaying a flashing red light tried to get them to pull over on Penn Place on June 16, just after 10:30 p.m. When they pulled over to the side of the road, a Hispanic-looking man got out of the passenger door and began to approach them, authorities said.

The victim told police that the man did not look like a police officer, so she drove away. A search of the area failed to locate any suspects, authorities said.
