Italian Singer Performs In Cranford

CRANFORD—The Friends of the Cranford Public Library invite the public to enjoy a selection of arias, Italian songs and popular standards as interpreted by tenor Salvatore Chiarelli at the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Avenue, on Tuesday, June 22, at 7:30 p.m.

Chiarelli trained for the opera stage in Italy and New York City. In 2006 he released his first album, Due Terre, Un Cuore (Two Countries, One Heart). Chiarelli performed the lead role of Turridu in the Cavalleria Rusticana with the Brooklyn Repertory Opera and reprised the role with the West Side Opera in Manhattan.  He is currently studying voice in Manhattan with the renowned William Glazier.
