LINDEN — Students at Linden’s School No. 1 recently learned about interactive poetry. The students went to a park and looked at nature, particularly trees. The outdoors influenced the meaning and experience of their poem. The students used their dictionaries and thesauruses for reference when composing their thoughts.
This form of poetry allows for interaction of a much deeper and varied understanding of the ideas that the students are exploring in the poems by allowing the writer to participate, become influenced and experience of the writing.
