New Jersey Sells $200,000 Ticket As Powerball Jackpot Grows To $78 Million

TRENTON – One lucky New Jersey Lottery player has won the Powerball second prize of $200,000 for the Wednesday, June 16 drawing. The winning ticket, which was sold in Hudson County, was purchased at Quick Stop in Bayonne.

“Congratulations to Quick Stop,” said the Lottery’s Acting Executive Director Carole Hedinger. “They have become one of the lottery’s most recent ‘lucky locations’ overnight. For selling this ticket, Quick Stop will also receive a bonus check for $500. ”


While there was no top prize winner, 34,361 other New Jersey players took home $177,200 in prizes ranging from $3 to $10,000, according to Hedinger.

The winning numbers for the Wednesday, June 16, drawing were: 08, 11, 18, 29, and 36 and the Red Power Ball number was 06. The PowerPlay number was 5.

With no winner of the top prize, the Powerball jackpot will roll to $78 million for the next drawing to be held Saturday, June 19, at 11p.m. on NJN-TV – the New Jersey Network.
