RAHWAY — Z Café will welcome the Basement Musicians, Tony Pileggi and Rick Hohowski as featured performers on Saturday, June 19, in the Social Hall of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rahway.
The Basement Musicians are a group of central and southern NJ family men who do the best of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s classic rock, country and folk music. They perform the music of Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, Jim Croce, John Denver, Harry Chapin and many more. They play the music they love and do it very well, performing all over New Jersey and Pennsylvania in homes, coffee houses, restaurants, inns and large halls.
Z Café is a monthly concert series, held on the third Saturday of each month in the social hall of Zion Church, located at the corner of Elm and Esterbrook Avenues in Rahway. The show begins at 7 p.m. with a popular and diverse open mic in which various performers entertain for ten minutes each. Everyone is encouraged to participate and share his or her talents. At about 8:30 p.m. the featured performer takes the stage and performs for about an hour.
The $5 admission also includes light refreshments. For more info, visit the link on Zion’s website http://www.zionlutherannj.org/cafez.htm or call Tom Picard at 1-732-388-3865.
