LINDEN — The Retired Men’s Club of Linden recently celebrated the end of their fraternal year with a luau. Party magic was created through the imagination and efforts of club Vice President Steve Zielinski and his wife, Mary Ann.
Approximately 120 guests were greeted at the John T. Gregorio Recreation Center with a fantasy version of Hawaii, complete with thatched-roof tiki bars, decorated with flowers, and plants of Hawaii, catered food with a Hawaiian touch and entertainment featuring professional hula dancers. Tables were festive with multi-colored tablecloths and original centerpieces made by Mrs. Zielinski. They were later raffled off.
The Retired Men’s Club, whose president is Michael Pileggi, is proud of the effort put fourth by the Zielinskis.
