ELIZABETH – United Way’s Hispanic Leadership Advisory Council (HLAC) will be hosting a networking event on Wednesday, June 30, from 6-9 p.m. at Valenca Restaurant, 655 Monroe Street in Elizabeth.
The featured speaker for the evening will be founder & CEO of Empowering Today’s Professional Network (ETP Network) and author of “Win the Race for 21st Century Jobs,” Rod Colón. Advance tickets are $25 and $30 at the door. Proceeds will go towards The Elizabeth Hispanic Family Success Center. The purpose of the Elizabeth Hispanic Family Success Center will be to provide information and assistance to help families receive needed services, as well as to enrich the lives of children by strengthening families and neighborhoods.
Colón has a unique perspective on what it takes to succeed in today’s global economy. He will share his 24 years of experience as a corporate HR management insider, outside agency recruiter, professional networker and career coach through an unusual yet common sense approach to networking and career management.
HLAC’s mission is to ensure that members of the Hispanic community have full access to United Way’s network of programs and services, as well as to assess and address critical health and human service needs in the City of Elizabeth and Union County.
