RAHWAY — The Rahway PAL baseball and softball leagues have new lighted scoreboards at Madden Field, thanks to a donation by RSI Bank valued at nearly $8,000.

“When we first approached RSI Bank for help in obtaining scoreboards we never expected that they would be so generous as to fund the entire project,” said John Tluchowski, president of the Rahway Police Athletic League. “RSI Bank has a strong track record of community support and we are very pleased that they chose to direct some of that support to Rahway PAL and the children of our community. “

PAL officials also thanked the Office of the Mayor and the Department of Public Works for help navigating through the many regulations and requirements involved in installing a scoreboard system. The scoreboards have been installed at Madden Field #1 and Field #2 and are in use during the 2010 season.
