Linden Announces Fall Soccer Programs

LINDEN – The city’s Department of Public Property and Community Services has announced a youth soccer league and a Little Kickers Soccer Clinic for this fall.

The clinic is open to Linden girls and boys, ages 4 and 5, and will be held on five consecutive Saturdays beginning Sept. 18. The sessions will be held from 10-11 a.m. at Al Kalla Park. Children must register by Sept. 11, and a maximum of 60 participants may sign up.

The $25 registration fee may be paid by cash, check, money order, Visa or MasterCard at the community center building at 605 South Wood Avenue, the Gregorio Center at 330 Helen Street or the multi-purpose center at 1025 John Street. Parents may also register their children by using the CommunityPass feature on www.Linden-nj.org.

The 2010 Fall Soccer League is open to Linden girls and boys between the ages of 6-10.  The Minor Division is for girls and boys ages 6 – 7.  The Junior Boy’s Division is open to boys ages 8 – 10 while the Junior Girl’s Division is open to girls ages 8 – 10.  League play will begin on Saturday, Sept.  18, and continue through the playoffs.

The registration deadline is Sept.10.  The $45 signup fee may be paid by cash, check, money order, Visa or MasterCard at the community center building at 605 South Wood Avenue, the Gregorio Center at 330 Helen Street or the multi-purpose center at 1025 John Street. Parents may also register their children by using the CommunityPass feature on www.Linden-nj.org.

Children participating in either will receive a t-shirt, but must supply their own shin guards and an ample supply of bottled water.
