UNION–On Thursday, June 24, the U.S. Small Business Administration’s New Jersey District Office will play matchmaker to SBA lenders and New Jersey small business owners seeking to finance their business expansions or start-up ventures through an SBA-backed loan.

The free first annual Lender and Small Business Matchmaker Conference will be held at the Liberty Hall Corporate Center located at 1085 Morris Avenue in Union, from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and is intended to match SBA lenders with qualified small business owners in need of capital ranging from $5,000 to $4 million.

“The primary focus of this event is to match lenders with potential borrowers in need of capital to fund their business expansions or start-up situations,” said SBA’s New Jersey District Director James A. Kocsi. “This concept allows small business owners to have confirmed appointments to meet with SBA lenders and is a proven way to increase small businesses access to loans.”

According to Kocsi, those lenders include: Across Nations Pioneers, Inc., BankAsiana, BNB Bank, Capital One Bank, Chinatrust Bank USA, Columbia Bank, Cooperative Business Assistance Corporation, Credit Union of New Jersey, Habib American Bank, Hopewell Valley Bank, Indus American Bank, Magyar Bank, New Jersey Business Finance Corp., New Millennium Bank, Nova Bank, PNC Bank, Regional Business Assistance Corporation, Sun National Bank, TD Bank, The Bank, United Central Bank and UCEDC.

The conference is sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration, New Jersey Small Business Development Center at Kean University, SCORE – Counselors to America’s Small Business and UCEDC. Participants will learn firsthand what lenders look for in a winning loan proposal and will also have the opportunity to meet with SBA lenders individually. Business owners and entrepreneurs will also have access to business counselors from the Kean University Small Business Development Center and SCORE.
