“This is our community and it is up to each individual and business to help it strive,” says Woody Erhardt, United Way board chairman and regional vice president of Enterprise. “We are happy to lend our support to such a great cause.” All proceeds raised will benefit the community impact fund.
Members of the United Way’s annual golf committee are hard at work on plans for its annual event, scheduled for Monday, June 28, at the Shackamaxon Golf & Country Club in Scotch Plains.
Feature partner, Macallan Scotch, will have brand ambassadors on hand providing guests with a sampling of their exquisite 12-year-old single malt scotch, the Macallan 12. Golfers will also be able to participate in Macallan’s Closest to the Pin Par 3 contest where the winner will receive an exclusive gift.
“United Way’s Golf Classic provides community members with an opportunity to enjoy a fun day of golf while they support a worthy cause,” said James W. Horne Jr., president & CEO of United Way. “Last year, we had more than 100 golfers competing and we anticipate another strong turnout for this year. I encourage those interested to register their team early to ensure a spot.”
Even if you’re not a golfer, you can still come to the dinner, including the cocktail hour where you will enjoy the full amenities of an open bar, sample Macallan 12, taste delicious hors d’oeuvres, and bid on silent auction items.
