LINDEN – The city Department of Public Property and Community Services announced a Pilates & cardio exercise class for Linden adults will meet Tuesday evenings this summer, beginning June 22.
Pilates is mind-body exercise that trains several muscle groups at once, using smooth and continuous movements. It teaches body awareness and good posture, while improving flexibility and agility. Cardio is a whole body workout using kickboxing and high and low aerobics.
Classes will be held Tuesday evenings, June 22 through Aug. 24, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Half the class will be spent on Pilates and the other half, cardio. Class members should bring a mat or a towel.
Classes will take place at the John T. Gregorio Recreation Center, 330 Helen Street, Linden. Cost of the program is $40. Register online at www.linden-nj.org by clicking on Community Pass, or register in person at John T. Gregorio Recreation Center, 330 Helen Street.
