Woodbridge To Hold Fluke Fishing Tournament

WOODBRIDGE – The 2010 Mayor’s Fluke Fishing Tournament will cast off from the Sewaren boat launch on June 19, Mayor John E. McCormac announced Thursday.

The annual fishing tournament raises funds for Woodbridge Township physically or developmentally challenged youngsters.  This year, proceeds will go to Bethany Ciccarelli, a five-year-old from Colonia diagnosed with lymphocytic leukemia.

The entrance fee is $125 per boat.  A captain’s meeting is scheduled for June 18 at 7 p.m. at the Woodbridge Elks.  There are cash prizes for first, second and third place and Best Junior Angler.  Contact the Department of Recreation at 1-732-596-4048 or visit www.twp.woodbridge.nj.us for registration and information.
