History Comes Alive At Clark Museum

CLARK — The Dr. William Robinson Museum located at 593 Madison Hill Road, in Clark will host its second annual Civil War Reenactment Weekend on June 5 and 6, along with the 2nd Rhode Island, Co. D, the 7th Virginia Calvary, Co. A, and the 3rd New Jersey Volunteer Infantry.  Events will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Activities will include a Civil War reenactment battle between the North and the South at 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and again at 3 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, and on Sunday from noon to 1 p.m., at Esposito Park, located a few doors down on Madison Hill Road.  At the museum there will be demonstrations in Civil War dancing, life during an encampment, hearth cooking, Maritime History, Chair canning, hatbox and bandbox decorating, and Low Tea at 1:45 p.m.  The President and Mrs. Lincoln will be on hand all day Saturday and Sunday.


On Saturday night there will be candlelit tours of the encampment and the museum from 8 to 10 p.m.
