Linden Democrats Welcome Booker

LINDEN — Councilman Derek Armstead (left) and former Councilman James Moore (right) welcomed Newark Mayor Cory Booker, who appeared as the guest speaker at the Linden Democratic Club’s annual dinner.

Booker commended the Column B Democrats for Change candidates, who are challenging the regular political organization in the June 8 Democratic Primary Election, and said, “As a young politician, I discovered a single spark can incite a community to action, and a community empowered can slay giants.”

I ran into Mayor Booker at the Bunk party last week. He was there in support of column A. Not the Armstead/Moore ticket.
