May 25, 4:43 p.m. – Officer Thomas Sarnecki arrested Clark resident Ronald Hoetzel, 39, single, at his Sweet Briar Drive home on an outstanding warrant from the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department for contempt of court.  He was subsequently turned over to the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department.

May 25 at 6:17 p.m. — Officer Daniel Joy investigated a report of a theft of items from a motor vehicle, which was parked at a Lake Avenue residence.

May 26 at 8:11 p.m. — Det. Walter Merfert investigated a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle, which was parked at a Sweet Briar Drive residence.

May 26 at 10:17 a.m. – At Headquarters, Officer Ken Sarnecki arrested Caldwell resident Ramon Santaigo, 34, on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court/motor vehicle violations.  He was subsequently released after posting bail.

May 26 at 12:20 p.m. – Officer Thomas Sarnecki investigated a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle, which was parked at a Westfield Avenue residence.

May 26 at 2:44 p.m. – In the vicinity of Raritan Road, Officer Glenn Griffin arrested Edison resident Vincenzo Renda, 25, on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court/motor vehicle violations.  He was subsequently released after posting bail.

May 27 at 5:05 a.m. – In the vicinity of Valley Road, Officer Christopher Tuccio arrested Linden resident Joseph Clanton, 25, on an outstanding warrant from Westfield for contempt of court/motor vehicle violations. He was subsequently turned over to the Westfield Police Department.

May 27 at 2:57 p.m. – In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, Det. Walter Merfert arrested Union resident Steve Suarez, 22, on an outstanding warrant from North Plainfield for contempt of court/motor vehicle violations.  He was subsequently released after posting bail.

May 27 at 3:27 p.m. — Det. Walter Merfert investigated a report of a stolen bicycle at 76 Central Avenue.

May 27 at 3:41 p.m. — Det. David Satkowski investigated a report of a theft of items from a motor vehicle, which was parked at a Largo Lane residence.

May 27 at 4:06 p.m. — Det. David Satkowski investigated a report of a theft of items from a motor vehicle, which was parked at a Largo Lane residence.

May 27 at 8:30 p.m. – At the Perth Amboy Police Department, Officer Brian Renda arrested Rahway resident Justin Kurtley, 21, on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court. He was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail.

May 29 at 5:10 p.m. – At 76 Central Avenue, Officer Terrance Harrison arrested Edison resident Ilaben Patel, 59, for shoplifting merchandise from the Shop-Rite Supermarket. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date.
