Police Charge Man With Assaulting 7-Year-Old Girl In Old Bridge

OLD BRIDGE —  Police arrested a Monmouth County man on charges of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl in Old Bridge, Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and Old Bridge Police Chief Thomas H. Collow announced today.

Michael Rubino, 44, of Millstone, was arrested at his home on May 31,  and was charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, authorities said.


Rubino, who is a construction contractor, was arrested and charged following an investigation by Detective Michael Blahota of the Old Bridge Police Department and Investigator Rajesh Chopra of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

The investigation determined that Rubino, who was invited to a friend’s home in Old Bridge on May 30, 2010, improperly touched the 7-year-old girl.

The investigation began after the girl told her parents, who contacted police.
