'StreetLight Mission'...a doorway of hope for so many...

by rocky-o

In this day and age, we often strive to do ‘good’, and to have ‘good’ done for us…

So many are currently homeless, helpless, and most of all, hopeless…

Pastors Paul and Karen Yuschak try to bring that hope back…

[smartads]

One half of the dynamic duo, Karen Yuschak, who, along with her husband Paul, reach out to one and all.

Since it’s humble beginnings in 1997, The StreetLight Mission, at 1181 East Broad Street in Elizabeth, New Jersey, has consistently reached out to lend a hand, and a heart, to those in need, with food and services that go above and beyond, providing over 400 families a month with groceries, over 2,000 items of clothing a month, plus medical treatments, special charity events, and so much more…

But to them it’s not about the numbers, for the numbers keep growing everyday…

To them it’s about the one, the individual who shows up on their doorstep looking for more, and they receive it in abundance…(as their website says, “Help begins with the love of God and a smile”)…

Their services provide a bit of the word fitting into the world of those in need, filling their souls, as well as their stomachs…

And they help in so many other ways, like helping people figure out ‘the bureaucracy’ that is supposedly there to help the people…(and if you wish to help StreetLight, please contact Karen or Paul, and see what you can do to reach out to those in need…)

(…visit their website at ‘streetlightmission.org’, email them at ‘Info@StreetLightMission.org’, or call them at 908-820-8324…or even simply stop by…a friendly open door awaits you…)

And they don’t do this for glory, or applause…just simply, (as their sign says), to bring hope in a time of need…

…and the world needs people like Paul and Karen Yuschak, now more than ever…
