Newark Man Indicted In Union Killing

ELIZABETH — Last week a Union County grand jury indicted a 21-year-old Newark man on felony murder, robbery and weapon charges in connection with the November 2009 homicide of a Union Township deli owner, said Union County Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow.

Daivon K. Brinson is accused in the Nov. 30, 2009 homicide of Mohinder Singh, the owner of Three Stooges Deli.

He is being held on  $750,000 bail at the Union  County Jail in Elizabeth.

According to the investigation, it appears that the 41-year-old Singh was the victim of an attempted robbery, said Romankow.
