New Jersey Sells $200,000 Ticket As Powerball Rolls To $220 Million

TRENTON – One lucky New Jersey Lottery player has won the Powerball second prize of $200,000 for the Wednesday, May 26 drawing. The winning ticket, which was sold in Essex County, was purchased at R & E Foods in Irvington.

“Congratulations to R & E Foods ,” said the Lottery’s Acting Executive Director Steven Palmieri. “They have become one of the Lottery’s most recent ‘lucky locations’ overnight. For selling this ticket, R & E Foods will also receive a bonus check for $500. ”

While there was no top-prize winner, 61,922 other New Jersey players took home $355,196 in prizes ranging from $3 to $10,000, according to Palmieri.

The winning numbers for the Wednesday, May 26 drawing were: 01, 06, 10, 13, and 20 and the Red Power Ball number was 32. The PowerPlay number was 4.

With no winner of the top prize, the Powerball jackpot will roll to $220,000,000 for the next drawing to be held tomorrow night, Saturday, May 29 at 11 p.m. on NJN-TV – the New Jersey Network.
