ROSELLE PARK–The Women’s Ministry of the Church of the Assumption in cooperation with Bethlehem Judah Christian Fellowship of Elizabeth and the Interfaith Council of Roselle/Roselle Park/Linden/Elizabeth is sponsoring a “Unity in Prayer” gathering on June 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Michael J. Mauri Gazebo Park located on the corner of Chestnut St. and E. Grant Avenue in Roselle Park.
Persons of all faiths are welcome for fellowship, prayer and worship. This is the first event of its kind being held in Roselle Park and its goal is to create community and encourage ecumenical unity.
Pastor Glenn Scheyhing of Community United Methodist Church, Roselle Park; Pastor Karen Chamis of 1st Presbyterian Church, Roselle; and Pastor Anthony Gilyard of Bethlehem Judah Christian Fellowship, Elizabeth will speak at the event, which will feature a choir composed of members from various houses of worship in the area led by Lashun Robinson of Bethlehem Judah Christian Fellowship.
In case of rain the event will move to Community United Methodist Church directly across the street.
