RED BANK — Republican leaders from across the Bayshore are endorsing Monmouth County Republican Vice Chair Diane Gooch’s campaign to unseat U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone.
In Keansburg, Councilmen Art Boden and Jim Cocuzza, Former Chairman Sam Arguinzoni, Republican Club President Jack Earley and Chairwoman Mary Foley are supporting Gooch.
Foley said that “Growing up modestly, Diane had to work hard and make sacrifices to succeed. I am confident that when she gets to Washington she will do everything she can to make sure we all have the same opportunity for success.”
The entire Republican Governing body in Matawan is also endorsing Gooch. Mayor Paul Buccellato, Councilman Tom Fitzsimmons, Councilman Joe Urbano, Councilman Andrew Lopez and Councilwoman Linda Clifton are all behind Gooch and her effort to put an end to tax and spend politics.
Neighboring Aberdeen is lending its support with endorsements from the Aberdeen Republican Club and the Aberdeen Republican Committee. In Keyport, Councilman John Kovacs is endorsing Gooch and her fiscally conservative values. They join their Bayshore area legislators Senator Joe Kyrillos, Assemblyman Sam Thompson and Assemblywoman Amy Hanlin, who were among the earliest Gooch supporters.
The 6th district covers portions of Middlesex, Monmouth, Somerset and Union counties.
