EDISON — Eileen K. Palumbo, director of shared service benefits at Johnson & Johnson and a member of the Middlesex County College Board of Trustees, was presented with the 2010 Alumna of the Year Award during Celebration Day, an annual event that honors members of the college community.
The award was presented by Joann La Perla-Morales, president of the college.
Palumbo earned an associate’s degree in management at Middlesex and a bachelor’s degree in management from Rutgers University. She has built her 39-year career at Johnson & Johnson, where she has held several professional-level positions of increasing responsibility within Human Resources. A member of the board since 2006, Palumbo serves on the Human Resources and Nominations committees.
“As a former student and graduate of Middlesex County College and a current member of the Board of Trustees of the College, I am very honored to receive this award,” she said. “I accept the award with gratitude and appreciation.”
The third alumnus of Middlesex County College to serve on the Board of Trustees in its 45-year history, Palumbo lives in Metuchen with her husband Russ and two sons, Tim and Dan.
