Handgun Stolen In Linden Burglary

LINDEN – A handgun was among the items reported stolen in a residential burglary on Caroline Avenue last week, Linden police said.

Police responded to a burglary report at a home on the 1900 block of Caroline Avenue at 3:58 p.m. on May 13. The victim, 23, told the officers that he noticed that the rear doors of his house were open when he arrived home. He said that he found the bedrooms ransacked and noticed a Heckler & Koch P30 9mm handgun and a box of Remington 9mm ammunition were missing from a dresser drawer.

Police determined that the rear door had been pried open sometime between noon and 3:50 p.m. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the case to call Det. Kevin Brady at 1-908-474-8542 or email  crimetips@police.lindenes-nj.org.
