Looking For Ways To Save Energy And Money At Home?

NEWARK – Looking for a way to reduce costs based on your energy usage?  Have you ever wondered what you could save by changing your thermostat setting, or adding storm windows?  Now you can find out with just a few clicks of your computer mouse using PSE&G’s Home Energy Toolkit.  The Home Energy Toolkit helps you analyze your home energy use to receive customized energy saving tips.

The Home Energy Toolkit is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the comfort of your own home.  It is one of many new online convenience options available to PSE&G customers through the My Account self-service feature at www.pseg.com.

When you use the Home Energy Toolkit, you will fill out a quick, one-screen form of a dozen energy questions about your home.  Based on the answers you provide and the calculator’s ability to reference your actual energy usage, you will receive information to help you understand how you currently use energy, and how to lower your energy costs in the future.

“This easy-to-use toolkit helps our customers zero-in on what kinds of energy-related changes they’d like to make, and how those changes would affect their energy costs,” said Joe Forline, PSE&G’s vice president of customer operations.  “And it’s customizable – customers enter information such as the year their home was built and number of residents to get a personalized set of tips.”

Other energy tools are available through the Main Menu of the toolkit, including an Appliance Calculator, Kids Korner, and Home Energy Library.

To use PSE&G’s Home Energy Toolkit, log in to My Account at www.pseg.com today.  Additional My Account online self-service options include signing up for Paperless Billing, making a payment, submitting meter readings or viewing your meter reading schedule, scheduling or changing service appointments, and starting or stopping service.
