Disaster Recovery Center To Close; Assistance Still Available By Phone, Online

CRANFORD  – Officials with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the state of New Jersey Office of Emergency Management announced that the Disaster Recovery Center at Cranford Borough Hall will end operations today at 6 p.m.

Assistance is still available through the FEMA toll-free telephone number, 1-800-621-FEMA, between 7 a.m. and 1 a.m., seven days a week. Registration is also available online 24/7 at www.disasterassistance.gov.

“Flood survivors in these counties still have full access to FEMA assistance, and may also visit the other DRCs in adjoining counties,” said Federal Coordinating Officer William L. Vogel. “We encourage everyone who was affected by the severe storms and flooding of mid-March to continue to utilize the federal resources available to them, and urge those who have not yet registered for federal assistance to contact us by the June 1 deadline.”
