SCOTCH PLAINS – On May 4, the junior and senior students of Union Catholic were provided with information on the dangers of substance abuse and driving under the influence.

To assist with the presentation, members of the Kean University DUI Task Force and Maria Esteves of the Union County Prosecutors Office visited with the students and told them of their experiences not only with those convicted of drunk driving but also the victims and the families of victims of a drunk driving accident. The seniors were given a chance to work with the DUI simulator equipment manned by the Task Force.
