South Plainfield Sisters Earn Highest Award At Orators Competition

EDISON – Second grader Ariya Blow and her sister, Anjali, a third grader, received the highest award granted, “The Award of Excellence,” after competing in the New Jersey Orators, Inc. public speaking competition on Saturday, May 1. The South Plainfield residents are students at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School in North Edison.

Ariya presented in the category of Oral Interpretation of Poetry with several selections on Friendship. Anjali presented in the category of Dramatic Interpretation of Prose with a selection entitled, “A Symphony of Brotherhood, A Musical Journey in the Life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.”

Anjali was selected as one of three children out of over 100 competitors to make her presentation to the crowd of over 300 people. She received a roaring standing ovation for her presentation.

Ariya and Anjali are the daughters of Scott Blow and Lynda Blow.
