PERTH AMBOY—Melisa Ayllon, a fourth grade student at Perth Amboy Catholic School, has been selected as a runner-up in the International Fund for Animal Welfare 2009-2010 Art Contest titled “Under One Sky-Why Animals Matter.”
Competing against more than 1,000 students of all ages in all 50 states, this was quite an accomplishment for Ayllon. Her watercolor drawing of polar bears expresses the need to take positive action on behalf of animals and the environment we share.
Ayllon wanted her artwork to illustrate that we can create a better world for animals and people.
