WOODBRIDGE – The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) today announced new traffic pattern changes to the ongoing Smith Street bridge deck replacement project over Route 440 in Woodbridge.

On Friday, May 7, NJDOT will reopen the ramp from Smith Street (CR 656) westbound to Route 9 northbound.  NJDOT will also shift traffic and close the right lane on Smith Street eastbound to establish a new work zone on the southern side of the bridge.  One lane will be maintained on Smith Street eastbound.   This traffic pattern will remain in place for approximately two months.
