RAHWAY—The second grade students at Franklin School in Rahway enjoyed learning about Mexico and their rich culture after reading the story, ‘Anthony Reynoso Born to Rope’. The students took turns hitting a pinata, made sombreros, learned Spanish and ate tasty Mexican treats donated from Chevy’s restaurant in Linden and Beana’s restaurant in Rahway.
Pictured here are some of the second grade students wearing their sombreros and enjoying their Mexican rice from Beana’s and chips and salsa from Chevy’s. The students are excited to begin their next journey exploring China.
