The two-town tour will be held on Sunday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to approximately 1 p.m. Pre-registration will begin on Monday, April 26, at the Stelton Community Center, 328 Plainfield Avenue, Edison or the Minnie B. Veal Community Center, 1070 Grove Avenue, Edison. Forms will also be available at Edison Libraries, the Edison Municipal Complex, Metuchen Borough Hall and the Metuchen Library or you may download from www.edisonnj.org.
“Day of” registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the Edison Municipal Complex, 100 Municipal Boulevard. You can also join in on the route (approximate times).
- Minnie B. Veal Community Center – 9:45 a.m.
- Edison Tower – 11 a.m.
- Metuchen Municipal Complex -11:30 a.m.
- Thomas Edison Park-Behind Middlesex County College -12:15 p.m.
This will be a 25-mile Bicycle Tour around Edison Township and through Metuchen featuring the following historic sites: Oak Tree Historic Park, Camp Kilmer, Short Hills Battlefield, Edison Tower, Roosevelt Park, Raritan Arsenal, Piscatawaytown, the old Franklin School House and Kahn’s Crossing.
The first 150 registered applicants will receive a 2010 Tour T-shirt.
