Business Watch Program Re-Launched In Rahway

RAHWAY—The Rahway Police Department, in partnership with the Lafayette Masonic Lodge #27 of the Free and Accepted Masons, have reestablished the Rahway Business Watch Program.

The program is a community service offered to city merchants by the police department and is similar in concept to the neighborhood watch program. Members will proactively report quality of life issues and suspicious behavior directly to the police for investigation.

The police department is currently working with the residential community to reduce crime and fear of crime by developing an environment where crime cannot flourish. Businesses and homeowners are encouraged to join and participate with police to reduce crime and make the business and residential community safer, authorities said.

For more information about either the business or neighborhood watch programs, call Detective William Eicholz at 1-732-827-2979 or email
