Student Scientist of the Week

EDISON—Louisa Sperrazza of East Brunswick, a second grader at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison, was the Scientist of the Week recently in Donna Pedde’s class. She crafted fire extinguishers with her classmates and mixed baking soda and vinegar to demonstrate how the fumes of carbon dioxide extinguish a candle. Louisa is the daughter of Dr. James Sperrazza and Dr. Maria Czarniecki of East Brunswick. Her sister, Noelle, is a fourth grader at the co-educational, college-preparatory Pre-K to 12 school.
