Inspired by the current exhibition Erasing Borders 2010: Contemporary Art of the Indian Diaspora, which focuses on the outstanding work of Indo-American artists, the Jewel in the Crown will celebrate the rich culture of India.

The event will welcome over 250 of the region’s prominent cultural, corporate and philanthropic leaders for cocktails, dining, a 50/50 raffle and performances by Infin8, NYC’s premier South Asian-fusion dance troupe. To purchase event tickets, visit or call 1-908-273-9121.

Co-Chairs for the event are Rasika Reddy of Summit and Patricia A. Bell of South Orange.

“We are honored to be organizing this prestigious event.  We invite everyone to join us in celebrating the art center and its contributions to our community.” said Reddy, an accomplished contemporary artist who serves on the art center’s Board of Trustees.

Bell commented, “This event will highlight the art center’s innovative and engaging visual arts programming, which benefit people of all ages throughout the state and region.” Bell is senior vice president-investments, and wealth management advisor at Merrill Lynch in Short Hills.

Proceeds from Jewel in the Crown will support the art center’s exhibition and education programs that serve diverse communities throughout the tri-state region.
