RAHWAY—Steve Solomon’s hilarious, multi-award winning, long-running Off Broadway hit, “My Mother’s Italian, My Father’s Jewish and I’m in Therapy,” takes the stage at the Union County Performing Arts Center at Rahway on Saturday, April 30 at 8 p.m. for one performance only. Tickets are $25 and $35.
Twice the holidays! Twice the hollering! Twice the guilt! Direct from the sold-out, extended Off-Broadway run, “Italian+Jewish=Therapy” is one part lasagna, one part kreplach and two parts Prozac. Written by and starring Steve Solomon, who combines comic voices, sound effects and astounding characterizations to tell stories of the wacky side of the human condition.
You’ll meet Mom, Dad, his sister the smoker, the kids’ cousin Carmine, Uncle Paulie, demented Kenny as well as dozens of characters from all walks of life—thirty plus, whose sole purpose was to drive Steve into therapy—and they succeeded.
Steve masterfully recreates the characters using dialects, sound effects and incredible, wacky voices. Oh, you’ll recognize them. From the security guards at airports to the people you’ve met on the street. Each one comes to life on the stage in hysterical situations that will have you begging for more. This is a “don’t miss” evening of fun.
Critics from over fifty cities agree. This is an evening of comedy at its very best!
Tickets are just $25 and $35 may be purchased by calling 1-732-499-8226 or online by visiting the website at www.UCPAC.org. The UCPAC Box Office, located at 1601 Irving Street, Rahway, is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
