Explore The Shore At Clark Library

CLARK—Local author and photographer Kevin Woyce will present a lecture and slide show titled “History of the Jersey Shore” at the Clark Public Library on Thursday, April 15 at 7 p.m.

Woyce will explain the origins of popular shore resorts, and tell the stories behind such landmarks as Cape May’s oldest hotels, Lucy the Elephant, and today’s most colorful boardwalks. The slide show includes his original photographs of Jersey Shore lighthouses, amusement parks, piers, and motels, plus historic maps and images. The hour-long program will be followed by a question and answer session and a book signing.

Kevin Woyce lives in Lyndhurst. He is the author of “Jersey Shore History & Facts” and “Hudson River Lighthouses & History.”
