LINDEN – Firefighters battled a blaze at a city business, quickly bringing it under control Wednesday evening, according to authorities.
The Linden Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at a commercial one-story building on the 900 block of East Elizabeth Avenue at 7:56 p.m. Wednesday evening. Heavy smoke was coming from the building, which houses Quality Testing Services.

Firefighters had to force entry into the building to extinguish the blaze.
Twenty-four firefighters worked to bring the fire under control by 8:30 a.m. Officials believe that it started in a parked vehicle inside the building, but the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
No injuries were reported.
