Knights of Columbus Help Storm Damaged Karate School

CARTERET—The Carteret Knights of Columbus are helping a well-known Carteret karate school that sustained damage to its roof during the storm of March 13-14.

Chirico’s School of Karate, located for twenty-eight years at 1510 Roosevelt Avenue, will be holding classes temporarily at the Knights of Columbus, 164 High Street.


Ralph Chirico, a 10th Degree Black Belt, and his staff of instructors will be teaching classes on Thursday evenings from 4:30-6 p.m. and 7:30-9:30 p.m.  The regular Saturday morning and afternoon classes are being combined temporarily into one class at 10 a.m.

Following renovations, the school at Roosevelt Avenue will reopen in approximately six weeks.
