RAHWAY—Susan Bechelli’s fifth grade class at Grover Cleveland School recently held their annual egg drop competition. The contest is an experiment where students attempt to create packaging that can keep a raw chicken egg intact when dropped from a height. Concepts of cushioning and shock absorption learned in previous investigations were utilized, and the students had a 50 percent success rate.
