Edison’s Nappe Tabbed NJAC Rookie of the Week

PITMAN – Freshman Steve Nappe (Edison) has been selected as the New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Nappe earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season after hitting .429 (6-for-14) with two doubles, a stolen base, three RBI, and five runs scored in three games played.

He produced multiple hits in all three contests and opened the week by going 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in an 11-2 win over FDU-Florham. After going 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in an 11-2 road win at Farmingdale State, he wrapped up the week by going 2-for-6 with a double, three RBI, and two runs scored in a 23-1 win over Utica.

Nappe currently ranks tied for 13th in the NJAC in RBI (15).
