March 22 at 8:47 p.m. – Officer Joseph Mirabile investigated a theft of items from a motor vehicle, which was parked at a Sweet Briar Drive apartment.

March 22 at 9:38 p.m. – Officer Joseph Mirabile investigated a burglary to a motor vehicle, which was parked at 430 Westfield Avenue.

March 23 at 8:20 a.m. – Det. Sgt. Michael Pollock investigated a burglary at 1129 Raritan Road.

March 23 at 8:49 a.m. – Officer Pat Grady investigated a report of a burglary at 72 Westfield Avenue.

March 24 at 1:17 a.m. – In the vicinity of 36 Valley Road, Officer Christopher Tuccio arrested Cranford resident Michael Bracuto, 41, for DUI. He was also detained on an outstanding warrant from Mountainside. He was subsequently released after posting bail.

March 24 at 11:34 p.m. – At 76 Central Avenue, Officer John Ehling arrested Westfield resident Denise Mele, 41, for shoplifting $275.45 worth of merchandise from the Shop-Rite Supermarket at 76 Central Avenue.  She was subsequently released pending a court date.

March 24 at 6:30 p.m. – At Headquarters, Officer Brian Renda arrested Perth Amboy resident William Markowitz, 49, on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court.  He was subsequently turned over to the Union County Jail.

March 25 at 12:35 p.m. – Officer Dan Pitts arrested Clark resident Ronald Hoelsel, 38, at his home  on an outstanding warrant from the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office for contempt of court. He was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail.

March 27 at 12:33 a.m. – In the vicinity of Martine Avenue, Officer Christian Lott arrested Plainfield resident Anthony Thomas, 21, on an outstanding warrant from Westfield for contempt of court. He was subsequently released after posting bail.

March 27 at 11:32 p.m. – In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway Circle, Officer Andy Wagner arrested Clark resident James Hamilton, 25, for DUI. He was also charged with possession of narcotics paraphernalia, and he was issued a summons for careless driving.  He was subsequently released pending a court date.

March 28 at 9:56 p.m. – In the vicinity of 4 Janie Lane, Officer Christopher Tuccio arrested Winfield resident Shane Easton, 24, on an outstanding warrant from Roxbury for contempt of court.  He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date.
