RAHWAY—For Rahway Robotics Team 1228, the highlight of the recent FIRST Regional Robotics Competition was seeing Rahway High School alumnus and engineer, T.J. Schimmell, inducted into the Regional Hall of Fame for his work with Rahway’s Team 1228.
The team competes annually in the regional First competition held in Trenton. Robots are built in 6 weeks from a common kit of parts provided by FIRST, and weigh up to 120 lbs. (excluding battery and bumpers). Each year provides a specific challenge. This year the challenge was Breakaway Soccer with robots.
