CRANFORD—The Union County College Foundation’s 18th annual Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, April 26, at Shackamaxon Golf & Country Club located in Scotch Plains.
The golf tournament, sponsored this year by Wells Fargo, is conceived and organized by the college foundation. This event enables the foundation to raise funds for programs and scholarships for Union County College students.
Robert Hoeffler, a foundation trustee, executive director of the cranford chamber of commerce, and former mayor of Cranford, is serving as the tournament chairman, overseeing a 12-member committee of college governing board and foundation members, administrators, faculty, staff, alumni and outside business leaders.
The tournament will kick off at Shackamaxon at noon. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and lunch will be served at 11 a.m. A putting contest will be held at 5 p.m.
At the conclusion of the tournament, the cocktail and dinner reception will be held. It will begin at 6 p.m., and will be followed by a dinner, an awards ceremony, and a raffle. For those who do not golf, reservations are available for cocktails and dinner only.
