Rahway Church Announces Holy Week Schedule

RAHWAY – The Church of the Good Shepherd, an Episcopal-Anglican church in Rahway, has announced their Holy Week schedule.

On April 1, the Maundy Thursday service will begin at 7:30 p.m. with the “Washing of the Feet and Stripping of the Altar,” followed by the Gethsemene Garden Vigil from 9 p.m. until midnight.


On Good Friday, April 2, a Spanish service, “Los Siete Palabras,” will begin at 6 p.m.  The Good Friday Solemn Liturgy will begin at 7:30 p.m.
The Easter Vigil on Saturday, April 3, will begin at 7:30 p.m. It will include a pastoral visitation by Bishop Sylvester Romero.

On Easter Sunday, April 4, Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. in English, and at noon in Spanish. An Easter egg hunt will follow the 10 a.m. service.
