ELIZABETH — Benedictine Academy junior Marjorie Bukiron of Elizabeth (right), and several four-year-olds enrolled at the Benedictine Sisters pre-School in Elizabeth, enjoyed time at the computer during Bukiron’s visit to the school on March 23. She and other members of her class at the Academy were assigned to various sites in the Union and Essex County/Greater New York area as part of the school’s annual “B Week” career shadowing program. Enjoying the moment with Bukiron, are (l-r) students Joshua Charles, Yasmin Martin and Rick Chilquillo.

Benedictine Academy students Mecca McDonald of Roselle (right) and Ashley McDowell of Maplewood (center), both interested in careers in the performing arts, were fortunate to spend four half-days recently at the Institute of Music for Children in Elizabeth. The pair is listening as Institute Director Alysia Souder (left) orients them as they begin their week on site at the performing arts school. The visit was part of Benedictine Academy’s “B Week”, when members of the junior class travel to off-campus sites to explore their career interests.
