Jewish Community Center Announces Concert, Bridge Class

EDISON—As part of the Sundays at the “J” series, the Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County in Edison will host a performance by a string quartet featuring four musicians of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, April 18 at 2:30 p.m.

Their program, “Broadway Bound,” will focus on a variety of Broadway show music. A dessert reception with the musicians will follow the performance. The program is open to the community at a cost of $8 until April 14 and $12 thereafter, space permitting.

A six-session course, Bridge For Beginners, will be offered on Thursdays, April 8, 15, 22, 29, May 6 and 13 from 7:15 – 9:15 p.m.   With the help of instructor, Gil Hollander, participants will learn how to evaluate, bid and play a hand, to score and to defend against opponents in a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Come alone or with a partner.

The fee is $36 for Community Campus members and $46 for non-members.  Advanced registration is required by contacting Sue Horwitz, 1-732-494-3232 x603.  The class will be cancelled if an insufficient number of people sign up.
