Defendant Busted For Bringing Marijuana To Court

LINDEN – An Elizabeth man who was a defendant in a court case was arrested for bringing marijuana to Linden Municipal Court on Monday, police said.

Aliquan I. Moore, 22, was sentenced to 30 days in jail on an unrelated charge by Judge Louis M. Dileo Jr. When he was searched by police officer Maurice Rawlins, Moore had a clear plastic bag containing what appeared to be marijuana in his jacket pocket, police said.

Moore was charged with possession of marijuana and bail was set at $1,000 pending a new court appearance on April 14 in Linden Municipal Court, authorities said.
